Plant Sale
Our 2025 sale will be held again, the 1st Saturday in June (7th), from 8 am to 1 pm at the Rotary Gazebo (corner of Hwy 60 and Grand Ave.).
We provide a variety of hardy perennials and colorful annuals, mostly nursery grown.
Every year our Volunteers are happy to help and share their gardening knowledge while you shop.

Spring Day of Service

We are planning for another wonderful day partnering with Hartford Union High School for their annual Day of Service. Projects for the Day of Service are planned with the goal of contributing to the positive spirit of our community.
VBH will coordinate about 50 students who to clean up the garden areas around the Jack Russell Library and along the Riverwalk. Adult volunteers are always needed to help have our tools and snacks ready for the day and guide the students as we work together.
Gardening
Join our garden club's volunteer team for Monday night weeding sessions, adopting a plot, maintaining various areas like Centennial Park and by the library, and being part of the watering crew led by Jason Wix of Faith and Giggles.
Every Monday evening from early May through early October (except for rainy days), we gather at the Alpine Garden at 6 pm (5 pm in the fall) for an hour of weeding followed by a relaxing moment with some beverages.
Simply bring a few hand tools and join us to enjoy the evening air – we'd love to meet you!
